As everyone mentioned, probably one of the numerous kits based on the old Lotus 7 (later bought/made by Caterham). There are about a half dozen high-quality kit versions, some of which can be professionally built (but still “kit cars” for legal reasons).

The cool thing is they take just about any engine/tranny combo you want to throw at them. Due to the light weight, mid-150hp Ford, Toyota, and VW powertrains are common and the thing will scream. Low top speed, but insane handling.

I’ve wanted one for many years, but they’re hard to come by and very purpose-built (and quality/safety is all over the place)

Yes, there are V8 versions, which is basically assisted suicide.

And wait, does that pickup to the left have three doors on one side? I just thought it was an Avalanche.

Great photo. The 3-series is boring despite what BMW would tell you. The whatever it is next to that is especially boring. The Jeep is super boring but it’s pretending not to be. The Santa Fe is also pretending, though not as hard as the Jeep.

They’re all the same monochromatic boring colors.

The Lotus is not boring. It’s so not boring that you know the owner is checking the weather and keeping an eye on those clouds in case rain threatens.

next to the hyundai? That’s a mini van of some sort. Although I have seen a six door pick up around town before.

I would not be getting any work done if it were outside my window.  Being a Monday, I might call the front desk to get on the PA and ask the owner to move it
